Luke Natoli, 18, was released from custody on Tuesday, April 19, after being booked into the Bergen County Jail on Monday, records show.

Natoli blocked the number he was calling from when he threatened to bring a gun to baseball practice at a high school in Montvale on April 12, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

Musella didn't say whether it was Pascack Hills High School or St. Joseph Regional High School, which are both in Montvale.

“First responders and school officials took measures to ensure the safety of the campus while members of [Musella’s] Cyber Crimes Unit and the Montvale Police Department initiated an investigation to trace the call,” the prosecutor said.

It didn’t take long to identify Natoli, who investigators said attends Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.

He was arrested the same day and brought to the Dutchess County Jail, also in Poughkeepsie, the prosecutor said. Authorities also seized his cellphone.

The 6-foot-1-inch, 145-pound Natoli waived extradition, was brought to New Jersey on Monday and spent the night in the county lockup in Hackensack before a judge released him the next day.

Natoli gave a statement regarding the call, a complaint on file in Superior Court in Hackensack says.
